Shulamit’s paintings are figurative and deal with subject maters in a modern and contemporary interpretation. Her inspiration is driven from the old masters and painting schools who concentrated on direct observation of the world as the main reason for creating. This approach differs from today’s somewhat conceptual and minimalistic teaching that is the main attitude in the current art world. Her persistence on painting landscapes and portraits with emphasizing on humanity and beauty – despite of these subjects and values losing some of their importance – is based on a certainty that this kind of painting is relevant more than ever. Shulamit’s dedication to her art has resulted in a collection of works that stay true and faithful to both nature and her belief in the power of painting.
